Monticello Parisian Marble Top Side Table, While in Paris, Thomas Jefferson designed a small marble-topped table to use next to his bedside. Using Jefferson's drawing, curators recreated the table which is on display in his bedchamber at Monticello. The lost original was made in France around 1786, and featured a slender frame worked in mahogany and a marble top. The shelf below was intended to hold books, allowing Jefferson to read in bed by lamplight. This useful little marble top side table, made in the same materials as the original, lends clean, timeless design to any room. 27"h x 17A 1/2"w x 9A 1/2"d.
