Intended for MTB singletrack riding, the ULTRA MTB uses diffused lenses on the two outside lamps to provide 180 degrees of lighting, and the center lamp projects out to illuminate the trail ahead of the rider. On twisty singletrack, illuminating your immediate surroundings is critical-and this is where the "down the road" illumination provided by traditional dynamo lamps fall short. Below 13kph / 8mph (on 29er wheelsets, slower with 27.5), the ULTRA V2 boosts the power from the dynamo, providing dramatically more illumination than any other dynamo light at slower speeds. At 13kph / 8mph, the center spot kicks on to provide even more-with a boost of down the trail illumination. Many say that the combination of the wide and spot beams on this lamp allow them to leave their helmet mounted lights at home, reducing overall weight and complexity. The configuration also helps prevent light flare off near-to-the-trail obstacles--a factor which can lead to eye strain. It uses the common 3 lobe / 2 lobe camera mount system and quickly and easily mounts to your kLite ULTRA lamp. Fits 31.8 and 35mm bars. Allows the elevation of the kLite ULTRA in front, above, or below the handlebar or handlebar extender to project above and beyond any handlebar bags and free up bar space.
