This device is the heart of the kLite system, securely connecting your dynamo hub to the kLite lamp and USB charger, and including a toggle switch. No more fiddly DIY wiring solutions that break down during your first rainstorm / hailstorm / snowfield / bannock road mud situation / river crossing / etc. The kLite wiring harness is ruggedized and designed for just these type of conditions.There are four options to choose from. The first relates to the type of dynamo hub you're running--SON or Shimano / Shutter Precision (SP). The second relates to the function of the handlebar switch. The first option "Lamp or USB" is fairly straightforward, the handlebar switch toggles between the two leads and offers power to the lamp or power to the USB charger. The second option "USB Always On" uses the handlebar switch to toggle the lamp on and off, and the USB remains powered. This second options is the standard choice in kLite kits because it can power the Qube safety blinker when you're riding during the day or night, and offers emergency charging to your navigation devices while you're riding at night with the lamp.Do not use dielectric terminal grease on the yellow end connectors of the kLite system - these are waterproof by design and the use of dielectric grease here will make the kLite friction-fit connectors vibrate loose on the trail. An application note: If you're planning to use your new kLite wiring loom with existing kLite lamps or USB chargers, please look over the connector pictures below. kLite made a running change in its wiring loom connection systems to enhance connection security and water protection; this change improved system longevity significantly. if you have older (60 series) lamp and USB charger and need a replacement wire loom, select the older style (60 series) replacement.If you have an older (60 series) style loom and need a new lamp or USB charger, select a current model accessory and a 30 series to 60 series adapter.
