submersible-lightweight-6000mah-bikepacking-powerbank, Sorry, No Sales Of This Product Outside of Continental U.S. The Carbon 6K is Nitecore's 2nd generation of submersible IPX68 powerbanks. It's great for bikepacking because with an IPX68 rating, it's waterproof. It can be mounted outside off your bikepacking bags, right on the handlebars, allowing you to include a battery as part of your bikepacking cockpit system. This is a truly submersible unit, one that will charge and charge your devices while its submerged in water. Why is this important? Rain. With this unit, you can safely run a cable from your kLite USB Charger and not worry if the battery pack is sequestered inside a waterproof bag. You can literally zip tie it to the handlebars right next to your kLite USB charger and have at it during a monsoon. This device is a significant upgrade from Nitecore's predecessor submersible battery system (NPB1). In addition to having a single, trouble-free USB-C interface, the exterior is made from carbon fiber to reduce weight, and the charge indicator is much larger, making it easier to see during full sun. The unit also has a unique feature - hold down the battery indicator for two seconds and the three charge indicator LEDs will flash. Not super bright like the Qube, but bright enough to indicate your presence--useful for leaving on at night at a campsite if you're worried about car-campers thinking there's a vacancy at your campsite because there's no car in the parking spot. I replaced my NPB1 with one of these 6000mAh units and have it zip tied to my aerobars. When it's not fully charged, it's plugged into my kLite USB charger during the day, and when it's topped off (easy to see with the three red LEDs), I use it to charge my iPhone. I keep one of Nitecore's new water resistant 10,000mAh powerbanks in my bikepacking bag along with a backup GPS for a zombie-apocalypse nothing works anymore and need to navigate my way back home scenario. It's the little things that let you sleep soundly at night. Like most battery packs, they have an automatic shutoff when the current drops below 100mA. This can be important if you're going to be powering extremely low draw devices with this unit. It will power the eTrex line (confirmed with my eTrex 20) but not the kLite Qube. Suggest you plug the Qube into the dual USB charger and run the second line to your battery when riding in the daytime.
