Steel scope rings can cause the host rifle to become top heavy and unbalanced while cast and MIM rings often have unseen voids and weak points that lead to breaking after extended use. The Gen 2 Tru-Loc Rings on the other hand areprecision machined from 7075 T6 aircraft grade aluminum a material with twice the strength of 6061 aluminum - this gives the Gen 2 Tru-Loc Rings outstanding durability and a long service life. In addition to their unmatched strength the Gen 2 Tru-Loc Rings incorporate aninnovative latch design. Most scope rings on the market attach to the picatinny rail with a side latch that cams onto the underside of the rail.
