Notably the Scofield found its way into the hands of various individuals including civilians lawmen and outlaws.One notorious outlaw Jesse James favored the Scofield during his criminal career. Ironically he met his demise at the hands of the very revolver he wielded. Another prominent figure associated with the Model 3 Scofield was the legendary lawman Wyatt Earp who wielded it with great success during the infamous Gunfight at the O.K.
