This results in a surface hardness rating of around 45 - 55 HRC and provides exceptional resistance to wear and the elements. An ultra-thin 1/1000" layer of special protective paint is then applied to bolster theVintage'sstrength even further. In addition to significantly increasing durability case hardening gives the metal a distinct and visually appealing marbled exterior with dynamic hues of green yellow brown blue and even magenta appearing on the surface.
