The new 45 is a 4 inch barreled pistol with a shortened grip frame for easier carry. But each gun comes with two magazines. A 10-round compact magazine and a 13-round Service Model magazine with XD Gear X-Tension(TM). That means a simple change of the magazine converts this 10 + 1 round compact into a 13 + 1 round service model.
