Waterworks Lamson Liquid Fly Reel Glacier -5+
Waterworks Lamson Liquid Fly Reel Glacier -5+, WATERWORKS LAMSON LIQUID FLY REELWhile a cast aluminum fly reel is often considered a step down from a machined reel, the hybrid Waterworks Lamson(R) Liquid Fly Reel uses the technique to great advantage. Pressure-casting not only holds costs down, it also makes possible structural enhancements that can't be achieved by machining, such as fully radiused compound curves and near-zero radius inside corners. To achieve a precise fit and finish, some of the Liquid Fly Reel's cast parts are CNC-machined in critical areas, including the sealed conical drag system. These reels are assembled in Boise, Idaho, alongside the company's higher-priced reels.FEATURESConstructed using pressure-cast and CNC-machining technologiesPrecise fit and finishFull radiused compound curves and near zero-radius inside cornersCNC-machined critical drag componentsTECH SPECSThe Lamson Liquid also has a new sizing system. Rather than the 1.5, 2, 3, 4 sizes, the reels are now available in -3+, -5+, -7+, -9+. Essentially the sizing is plus or minus the number of the reel size. Meaning the -3+ is good for 2,3,4 weight lines and a -7+ would be good for 6,7,8 weight lines.
