Our Adaptive Plate Insert, formerly known as the Trauma Plate Insert, dramatically increases versatility by allowing you to easily create an in-conjunction armor system, reduce armor size, or add soft or hard trauma plates for heart and vital organ coverage. The Adaptive Plate Insert is compatible with both front & rear pockets, and accommodates 6" x 6", 6" x 8", and 8" x 10" armor sizes. Simply attach the insert to the attachment panel on the inner pocket of your Veritas(TM) or Testudo(TM) (Gen 2) plate carrier for your custom configured armor setup.
By using the Adaptive Plate Insert you can reduce the size of armor in the plate carrier to a smaller size - or - run the Adaptive Plate Insert in conjunction with the existing armor in your plate carrier. An ideal example would be to run Hybrid IIIA 10" x 12" body armor in your Veritas(TM) plate carrier, and use the Adaptive Plate Insert with AR500 ArmorA(R) III+ lightweight 6" x 8" armor. With this, you've created an in-conjunction system that maximizes weight reduction while increasing flexibility, without sacrificing rifle threat protection in the most vial of areas, your heart.
Our Adaptive Plate Insert will place your body armor at the top of the plate carrier for ideal right height, and does have room for adjustment to ensure a perfect fit. Inner plate retention straps and guides ensure a secure armor fit with all compatibles sizes.
