Samson Front Flip Sight, The Samson Quick Flip FFS-EXT railed gas block folding front sight is designed to work on our gas blocks. It will quickly and efficiently flip up and down as you need it. A: No. The sight is the correct height to work on a gas block which sits .250" below the rail of the upper receiver. If it is installed on a handguard, it will sit too high and your shots will appear low on the target. Q: Will the sight flip down all the way when installed on one of your gas blocks? A: Yes. The sight has been tested with our rifles and if it is installed on one of our gas blocks it will flip down all the way without hitting the handguard.
