Gunwerks Nexus 7mm PRC 24" SS Carbon-Wrapped Bbl Rifle w/Directional Brake RS-NX-1E5A5, The Nexus Rife System was developed over the course of 2 years, and combines a massive assortment of high-performance, user-friendly features to create a truly vertically integrated rifle system. Unlike the majority of rifles in a similar class, the Nexus is a complete departure from the Remington 700 clones that have dominated the market in years prior. While the Remington 700 clone is a reliable and proven design, it is somewhat restricted in terms of space and customization. The Nexus Rifle System solves this issue with a future-proof, user configurable design that allows the stock and barrel to be removed and reassembled within minutes using a simple T25 wrench. This allows different calibers to be used on the same rifle platform without any concerns for part fitment or headspace safety. The vast level of customization is perfectly complimented by the Nexus Rifle System's new NXT action. Precision machined from a solid billet of 7075 aircraft grade aluminum, the NXT action is remarkably lightweight, and is equipped with a Type-III hard anodized finish to withstand the worst possible conditions. The NXT action utilizes a double-stack magazine machined from solid aluminum, and fits flush with the bottom of the rifle - while the magazine is removable, it can be loaded from the top of the action. The NXT action also comes equipped with an integrated 20 MOA optics rail, a three-position safety that blocks the firing pin, and a 65deg bolt lift to allow it to clear larger scopes. Another main features of the Nexus Rifle System is its stock. Built from the ground up for comfort and ergonomics, the Nexus stock features a more vertical grip and an enhanced thumb shelf to promote proper hand placement. The grip area also features a Trigger Tech trigger and a unique adjustable trigger shoe with 0.5" total forward and rear adjustment, allowing it to be finely tuned to fit any sized hands. To ensure an excellent interface with a rear bag, the stock features a shallow toeline, and a built in picatinny rail and full length ARCA rail on the bottom accommodates the use of a bipod. Other features of the Nexus stock include leather paneling in the grip and cheek-well areas. This provides improved skin to rifle contact, and gives the rifle visually pleasing appearance that combines classic and contemporary aesthetics. The leather is chrome tanned and hand stitched, and is factory serviceable should it ever need to be replaced.
