The sights are composed of Tru-Glo's TFX Pro Day/Night sights with a high contrast orange front ring, promoting fast and intuitive target acquisition even in low light environments. Like many of Kimber's 1911 handguns, the Rapide Dawn features a match-grade barrel, but also features a Gold TiN finish - not only does this give the handgun a distinct, striking appearance, but also enhances both performance and durability. To ensure optimal control over the weapon, the Rapide Dawn is outfitted with aggressively textured G10 grips, and the frame's Stiplex front strap texture and high undercut trigger guard provide excellent grip purchase. In addition, the Rapide Dawn's slide features lightening cuts for faster lockup, and an ambidextrous thumb safety accommodates both left and right handed shooters.
