Yana Shiki stainless steel fittings are swaged directly onto the 32 strand cold drawn tensile stainless braided Teflon(R) tubes. Yana Shiki uses only Teflon(R) PTFE interior as opposed to just a PTFE interior. The difference in performance is quite remarkable as Yana Shiki stainless steel lines can be bent 18,000,000 times before rupture against only 750,000 bends of the standard PTFE used by other companies.
Hoses have been batch tested to 18,000 PSI without a recorded failure. More commonly, assemblies are tested to 5,000 PSI (normal motorcycle braking pressure is 800 - 1,000 PSI) offering a high safety factor.
