For the recently updated X 1900 wheelset, DT Swiss have utilized their expertise and trickle down technology from their higher end products to take the X 1900 wheelset to the next level. The X 1900 wheelset features a 25mm wide internal rim width, which is ideal for modern day cross country tires and offers ample tire support. Constructed out of aluminum, the X 1900 rims are reasonably lightweight, plenty durable, and contribute to the quick acceleration and low rotational weight of the X 1900 wheels. A tubeless ready rim design ensures that you'll be able to run your favorite tubeless cross country tires at lower pressures without a risk of flatting. The key difference between previous mid range DT Swiss wheelsets and the new wheelsets is that while they both are built with DT Swiss 370 hubs, the new hubs use a Ratchet LN kit. This upgrade effectively gives the X 1900 wheelset a full on ratchet design that normally is reserved for higher end DT Swiss hubs. Just like any higher end ratchet DT Swiss hubs the LN ratchet is a dead simple freehub design that offers reliable performance in a durable and easy to service design.
