They are perfect for getting rowdy and having fun on the descents too. The Marin San Quentin 3 27. 5" Bike is built for aggressive trail riding. It has a Series 3 6061 aluminum frame that uses 140mm of travel on the front. The frame features internal cable routing, a threaded bottom bracket, modern trail geometry, ISCG tabs, and Boost 12x148mm dropouts on the rear. The 3 version of the Marin San Quentin Bike comes with a Shimano Deore/SLX 12-speed drivetrain. The gearing is perfect for those steep hills and longer adventures out on the singletrack. Shimano BR-MT420 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes provide excellent stopping power so you can descend with confidence. Marin Aluminum Double-Wall tubeless-ready rims are paired with Vee Tire Co. Attack HPL Tires that can be set up tubeless for a smoother ride, better traction, and fewer flats.
