The mount is ideal for AR15/AR10 platforms with a top M1913 Picatinny Rail in order to take advantage of the mount's quick detach capabilities but does include three mounting screws for more permanent mounting solutions. The primary feature of the Pulsar Locking QD Mount is that the mount+optic can be taken off the weapon and returned without loss of zero allowing for quick rifle configuration changes as the day transitions to night or vice versa.
