Or, if you're looking for a gravel bike with more aggressive geometry, check out the Breed series.Highlights:Dual-wheel compatibility (650b and 700c)Massive tire clearance for all road and trail surface typesSleek storage solutions, and rack- and fender-readyUpgrades over Broam | 60:10-Speed Shimano Tiagra GroupsetFor as long as people have been riding bikes, there have been people riding bikes over long distances, traveling across the land, and experiencing the unique perspective that only pedaling can provide. That long heralded mystique of bike touring thrives today in the form of the Broam. But whereas the touring bikes of the past were relatively limited in scope in terms of what roads they could traverse and what gear they could carry, the Broam is an unbridled bikepacking machine. It's only limited by its rider's spirit of adventure. It's the loyal companion you always dreams about, one that will be with you through thick and thin, no matter what the road of life throws your way. Be it freshly paved tarmac or dusty gravel, superfast descents or strength-sapping ascents, the Broam will not only get you to your destination, but also make the journey worthwhile. The Broam | 40 frame is constructed from our SuperLite aluminum, which isn't just a silly moniker-this frame truly is amongst the lightest on the market compared to bikes with similar riding goals. More importantly, however, our engineers worked tirelessly to ensure that the Broam frame is both incredibly durable with precision welding and construction, as well as comfortable enough to mitigate vibrations for all-day riding comfort. The Broam | 40 frame is paired with a carbon fiber fork crafted from our UHC (Ultra Hybrid Carbon) Advanced carbon fiber, and was specifically tuned to handle the rough, high-frequency chatter and big hits of gravel roads. It's high-modulus, meaning that it's incredibly stiff to maximize rolling efficiency and handling feedback. But the fork's layup has been finely tuned to create the ideal contact with the riding surface for both stable, responsive handling, and a precise level of compliance to ensure maximum front-end traction and comfort over the rough stuff. The Broam's geometry is best described as relaxed, with slack head and seat angles, a long wheelbase, and a tall stack height. All of these combine for a ride that is incredibly stable at high-speeds, as well as a comfortable riding position that can be enjoyed all the way until the sun goes down and beyond. The Broam | 40 frame is built around a good ol' fashioned BSA threaded bottom bracket, making for easy maintenance and a creak-free ride. The Broam was designed to work flawlessly with two different wheel sizes: the traditional 700c wheels found on most regular road bikes, and the slightly smaller 650b wheel size prized by mountain bikers looking for that magic combination of incredible traction and agile steering. In order to produce the best riding experience possible on any surface, the Broam | 40 can accept up to a 45mm-wide tire on 700c wheels, or up to 2.1-inch tires on 650b wheels. A top tube-mounted storage solution with standard water bottle bolt spacing gives riders a spot to secure additional nutrition, tools, or any other accessories needed to tackle a long day in the saddle. The Broam | 40 is also capable of accepting racks and fenders, making it a delightful companion for wet weather riding and commuting. And because we all know hydration is key, all Broam bikes that are size 51cm and bigger feature three water bottle mounting locations inside the front triangle. We partnered with several fantastic component brands to offer three complete bikes in the Broam series. Along with the Broam | 30 model that features Shimano's newest 11-speed GRX gravel groupset, as well as the Broam | 60 that sports an 8-speed Shimano Claris drivetrain, we're thrilled to offer this mid-level build, the Broam | 40. It's highlighted by a 10-speed Shimano groupset comprised of Tiagra shifters, and also includes a higher-end GRX600 crankset with GRX400 derailleurs. It features a sub-compact 46/30 chainring combination mated to a cassette with an 11-34-tooth spread. This means that the Broam | 40 sports a climbing gear even better than the hallowed 1:1 ratio of the most seasoned mountain goats, thus giving its rider the most capability no matter how steep or loose the road becomes. The cockpit components come from our in-house brand Devox, with the latest Adventure model handlebar providing incredible control, confidence, and comfort. The Broam | 40 rolls on size 700c Devox Adventure 2.1 Disc wheels that are tubeless-compatible and are shod with a set of Maxxis Refuse tires in size 40c.The Broam is a jack of all trades, yet it is also a master of nearly every type of drop-bar riding. Racers seeking the lightest and fastest carbon wonder bike should check out our Performance category of models, but for everyone else, the Broam is an incredible steed that offers phenomenal value. It sports a smooth, stable ride quality that can be enjoyed all day long, and it's decked out with enough options to help carry all of your gear for whatever adventure you have in mind. Whether that's an all-day spin on tarmac, a rough and tumble gravel grinder, or even a multi-day bikepacking trip to parts unknown, the Broam is ready.TECH SPECSFrame:Felt Adventure Road Disc Superlite custom butted aluminum, smooth welded construction, 68mm BSA threaded bottom bracket shell, 12 x 142mm with Syntace style thru axle, flat mount disc brake standard, replaceable rear derailleur hanger, internal mechanical cable routingFork:Felt Adventure Gravel UHC Advanced carbon fiber monocoque construction, ControlTaper 1.125" - 1.5" aluminum steerer tube, flat mount disc standard, 12 x 100mm thru axle with mid-mount rack and fender mountsHeadset:FSA integrated sealed cartridge bearing with Felt VariableHeight Cone Spacers (20mm PC, 4.5mm aluminum), Felt top cap and aluminum bolt, No.42, 1.125 - 1.5"Stem:Devox VariableAngle, 8A / 16A rise, A-31.8mm, 47cm: 80mm, 51cm: 90mm, 54 - 56cm: 100mm, 58cm: 110mm, 61cm: 120mmHandlebar:Devox adventure bend, 86mm reach, 130mm drop, 8A flare, A-31.8mm, 47cm: 400mm, 51cm: 420mm, 54cm: 440mm, 56 - 61cm: 460mmBar Tape:Felt VelvetGel tape with 3M reflective base with reflective Felt Bubble-Tech F-Wing bar end plugsShifters:Shimano Tiagra 10-speedFront Derailleur:Shimano GRX400 braze-on, with 31.8mm clamp adapterRear Derailleur:Shimano GRX400, 10-speed long cageCrankset:Shimano GRX600 10 speed, 46/30T, 47-51cm: 170mm, 54 - 56cm: 172.5mm, 58 - 61cm: 175mmBottom Bracket:Shimano Hollowtech BSA threadedChain:KMC X-10, 10-speedCassette:Shimano 10-speed, 11-34TBrake Levers:Shimano TiagraBrake (Front):TRP HY/RD mechanically actuated hydraulic flat mount disc, 160mm rotorBrake (Rear):TRP HY/RD mechanically actuated hydraulic flat mount disc, 140mm rotorSaddle:SR Essenza Blackstar GelSeatpost:Devox Lite Road, A-27.2mm x 330mm lengthSeatpost Clamp:Felt single bolt, 31.8mm diameterRims / Wheelset:Devox Adventure 2.1 Disc, tubeless compatible 21mm inner width, 23mm depthFront Hub:Devox GR.1 Disc, 12 x 100mm thru axle, 6-bolt, 28HRear Hub:Devox GR.1 Disc, 11-speed, 12 x 142mm thru axle, 6-bolt, 28HThru Axles:Front: 12 x 100 x 125, thread: M12 x 1.5P x 17L, Maxle; Rear: 12 x 142 x 163 (163L + 9 head = 172 total), thread: M12 x 1.0P x 19L, SyntaceSpokes:2.0mm stainless steelTires:Maxxis Refuse with Silkworm, folding, 700 x 40cAccessories: Finish (Accent):1) Midnight Blue Fade (Black), 2) Sage Mist (Black)Weight:n/a*Bike weights are for a 54cm/M sample bike.
