Always changing, never cross-compatible, and constantly causing headaches as we fumble through adapter cups and aftermarket pieces to try to carry your crankset from bike to bike. Designers at SRAM must have been fed up with the confusion, too, which we suspect has something to do with their design of the DUB Pressfit Bottom Bracket. This bottom bracket doesn't introduce new standards when it comes to your bike's bottom bracket shell, fitting snugly into your frame just like any other pressfit bottom bracket, but where it differs is in the spindle. This new bottom bracket is designed to flawlessly fit SRAM's new DUB cranksets, with a 28. 99mm spindle across the board, allowing you to upgrade your crank while future-proofing it against changing BB standards. We're fans of SRAM's new take on bottom brackets, straying away from the never-ending dilemma of shell standard compatibility and instead looking to the crank itself to transcend one bottom bracket to another. This is achieved by using a standard inner bottom bracket bearing diameter of 28. 99-millimeters for stiff power when paired with a SRAM DUB Crank, but placing the bearings in a variety of bottom bracket sleeves to pair with any current bottom bracket standard on the market.
