Machined in North Carolina from US made 7075 T-6 aluminum the 110 series features some of the highest grade materials available and its quality and precision rivals that of a Chris King headset which for years stood above the rest. Like Chris King they are made in the USA but unlike Chris King the Cane Creek 110 series opts for an alloy crown race and compression ring under the top bearing cover to add extra security. The compression ring facilitates easy assembly and eliminates the possibility of rocking or creaking regardless of the small variations often found in steer tube diameters. And for lightweight carbon fiber steer tubes the extra surface area over other systems does its best to ensure a damage-free compressive junction. With the external cup design this headset adds 12mm to your stack height and enables you to convert your head tube to whatever your needs may be.
