However it is recommended to thoroughly wash your boat flooring before stowing for the off season. Mix a mild detergent such as dawn with warm water. Scrub the floor with a soft bristle deck brush. For tougher stains or stuck on mildew and dirt any citrus based cleaner can be used. Spray the affected area and allow it to soak for 10 minutes then wipe the area clean. If stains persist, heavier duty cleaners such as Tilex can be used. Do not let them sit on the Marideck marine vinyl flooring for longer than the recommended time and be sure to rinse thoroughly.
