A Long Trek Home is Erin's first-person account of their unprecedented trek along the northwest coast and their encounters with pelting rains, ferocious winds, blizzards, and bears, as well as with the tiny communities that dot this wild region. Alpacka Raft helped sponsor Hig and Erin's trip with packrafts and paddling suits. They used the packrafts to navigate hundreds of water miles through the inside passage of Southeast Alaska and then converted the packrafts to sleds for towing across snow and ice through the winter months.
