The Mallet Trail features a lightweight and durable ripstop upper with a TPU-reinforced toe box to shield the shoe from overgrown trails, with a flexible ankle collar to prevent trail debris ingress. The Crank Brothers' Match Box design optimizes the shoes for use with SPD, Crank Brothers, or any other MTB-style clipless pedal with a ramped, wide-open cleat box to shed mud and provide easy clip-in and out. The shoes even have a pre-installed Match shim and set of Crankbrothers cleats. The Match outsole offers plenty of grip when the time comes to hike through the tough stuff.
