ClimbHigh.com

We recently had the opportunity to speak with Kerry Bates owner of ClimbHigh.com to get to know our partners a little better. We were enthused to know that Climb High places a large emphasis on products made in the USA, and Eco friendly products like organic climbing crash pads.

Climb High has been a Vermont Outdoor specialty store since 1972. They have specialized in climbing and camping products. Specifically they have helped grow a lot of the product reputation for many major brands that are mainstays in the nation now.Recently the brick and mortar retail location has been shut down. However thanks to the Bates family Climb High online sales continue to live.

In late 2010, Climb High was taken purchased by Kerry Bates. The online store was revamped and re-released in 2011.In speaking with Climb High, we were very impressed to know the passion and love they have for the outdoors and the gear offered to enjoy it. They truly are in the business because they love it.

Climb High has core values of sustainability, Made in the USA, and Customer Service.Because of their dedication and ability (because they are a small specialized shop) often times it’s the owners directly corresponding with the customer. You won’t find that in any big box retail store.Infact they usually respond to emails in just a few minutes. You won’t get any of those auto generated "we try to reply to emails in 24 to 48 hours" email replies from Climb High.

Climb High has focused its inventory on climbing and camping products that are made in the United States and Canada. When choosing products and brands, their values always come first. Some of the brands Climb High carries are: Brooks Range, Cresent Moon, Dolomite Climbing Bags, Figure Four, Five Ten, Liberty Bottle Works, Omega Pacific, Organic Climbing, Practical Climbing, Ultimate Survival Technologies, Vew Do, Black Diamond, ISIS, Mountainsmith, and more.We have also heard rumors that they will be carrying Patagonia very soon.

Did we mention they ship anything for free, that includes shipping and returns with no minimum order! Seriously who does this?

New products are arriving daily, Kerry mentioned that new product usually correlate with the seasons, but because Climb High is a smaller operation, they have the opportunity to get new products in all throughout the seasons.

We asked "When is the best time to find a good deal on Climb High website". Climb High is constantly negotiating for closeout products and even current year (or upcoming season) sample gear at all times. It’s not uncommon to find this year’s products at 40% off with Climb High.

So take a look at GearChase.com and use our tools to scout out these deals for all your climbing and camping needs.
